Most of you know I am a rebel of sorts...one who stands for Native ways in spite of the B.S. I get from full bloods who have no clue of their earth resposibilities except for the money they get from the casinos...white crackers for sure...or as some of you call them...apples..red on the outside but white inside.

Sassafras has set up here a council fire for each of us to have a part in.... a very sacred gift in these times we live in and one not to be ignored.
I look on the member list and see 29 members listed and yet few of you speak up here. Please know that change comes from the voices of many...not just a few and that here on this site we are one family with no barriers nor boundries.

If you spent two hours or more watching the SuperBowl with enthusiasim, I can only hope you spent two or three hours of enhusiastic time supporting our old ones on reservations who have no television and are freezing to death on reservations. We live comfortable lives while the ones who carry our stories and ways of earth healing dwindle into oblivion. Take the time.....make a difference or all our old ways will be gone. It is up to you now...and you know it to be so.

I hope each of you is getting through the various weather around Turtle Island this week. As some of you may know, this is a time when the ranchers around Yellowstone Park lure Buffalo across park boundaries and kill them. They say the Buffalo carry a disease (brucellouis) but this is most often found in elk and cattle. Ranchers fear the healthy meat of Buffalo being on the market and hurting their profits.
